The Vosne-Romanée plot is located on the southern slope of the appellation. We own 0.50 hectare / ≈ 1.25 acres of 55-year-old vines, on a soil that combines clay and stony colluvium.
The Vosne-Romanée possesses true elegance, supported by discreet but structured tannins. You will enjoy this complex sensual wine, in which you will discover aromas of candied fruit, spices, and floral notes, as well as a long and delicate persistence.
Although the wine can be kept for ageing, you can also drink it in the first 5 years by decanting one hour before serving.
Depending on the vintage, we use 50% whole-bunch fermentation, and ageing lasts about 18 months in barrels (with 20% of new barrels).
It pairs well with milk-fed veal chops with black truffle slices, layered aubergines and sun-dried tomatoes, a lamb navarin, or Soumaintrain cheese.
